This critical team member impacts the company by leading and directing a team of Project Managers and Administrators to ensure that our client's needs are being met. You would be responsible for the daily oversight and direction of the team, ensuring that training and performance of team members meets expectations, and for developing your direct reports as and where necessary.

You would make valuable contributions by:

  • Displaying strong organizational skills
  • Establishing and implementing appropriate performance metrics.
  • Providing direction for rapid problem solving and improved working relationships.
  • Effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, employees, general contractors, and customers.
  • Demonstrating interpersonal, written, and oral proficiencies in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company internally and to outside parties.

Your job-specific tasks would also include responsibilities such as:

  • Overseeing daily operations for the department which includes tasks such as administration, estimation, detailing, and project management.
  • Reviewing job bids including developing quotes, building plans, approving customer purchase orders, and assisting with forecasting.
  • Analyzing and reacting to performance reports such as quote delivery, PO processing, warranty costs, win-rate by contractors, win-rate by customers, etc.
  • Reviewing budgetary line items for warranty and error write-offs and classifying or reclassifying the expense to the proper account and assisting in reduction of warranty frequency and costs.
  • Troubleshooting various issues as they occur within the department such as inventory concerns, production capacity, customer demands, internal errors, freight carrier damages, etc.
  • Communicating across the company regarding projects and/or issues that are applicable.
  • Providing training and development opportunities and improving the overall knowledge and performance of staff.
  • Developing and implementing processes and procedures, both departmental and customer-specific, to optimize efficiency.
  • Reviewing addendums from contractors with changes in the building plans if necessary.
  • Assist with department financial budget creation, management, and modifications.


  • Bachelor's Degree in business related field, with 5+ years of supervisory experience
    • Education requirement may be substituted for applicants with 10+ years of supervisory experience
  • Background in a business to business product-related industry preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience creating, implementing, and/or managing process improvements
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Critical thinking skills with a technical/mechanical aptitude required
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and a proficiency maneuvering throughout multiple systems required
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to lead people and get results through others.
