We are seeking a Shipping Associate to work in our warehouse as a Shipping Materials Mover. This position plays a vital role in the organization by preparing items for shipment by manually moving freight, stock, or other materials for our commercial door and service customers. LockNet will fork-lift certify and provide in-house training on company products and procedures.

A successful candidate for this position will be able to make valuable contributions through:

  • Palletizing door frames to prevent damage during shipping process
  • Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage and/or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles or containers, by hand or using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment.
  • Pack, seal, and add labels to containers to prepare materials for shipping
  • Examining shipment contents and comparing with records such as invoices or orders, to verify accuracy.
  • Assembling windows, frame pallets, and crates for upcoming shipments
  • Loading and unloading freight carrier shipments according to safety standards
  • Inspecting door, hardware, and frame parts prior to shipment to ensure quality of product before shipping
  • Operating forklift to transport heavy shipments
  • Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

A successful candidate for this position will have:

  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar relevant role
  • Experience loading and unloading material with a forklift preferred, but not required
  • Ability to read and use measuring tools
  • General computer skills preferred, specifically with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to talk or hear
  • Constantly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
  • Constantly required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms
  • Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
  • Regularly required to use close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly required to operate a forklift for the movement of heavy and oblong inventory within the warehouse
