Director of Business Development: Our Director of Business Development will primarily focus on customer generation and growth of our Division 8 & 10 construction national accounts.

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Identifying prospective customers in our target market, then working to develop relationships, gauge interest, and build opportunities for LockNet to partner on new construction and remodel work.
  • Keeping up to date and detailed information in our CRM.
  • Building a network of strategic partners to facilitate warm introductions to prospective customers.
  • Gathering the information needed from prospective customer's key stakeholders in order to fully understand their needs and identify which potential opportunities and solutions LockNet could offer.
  • Independently closing sales with new and existing customers.
  • Working with Sales Engineer and other subject matter experts to review and write door and hardware specifications to propose to prospective customers.
  • Coordinating with LockNet's internal contract review team to discuss and present appropriate contracts with customers.
  • Partnering with our Director of Customer Relations, Sales Engineers, Project Managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure an effective and positive customer onboarding experience.
  • Attending pre-designated tradeshows to represent LockNet, build relationships, and develop leads.
  • Strengthening relationships with customers by evaluating new business opportunities consistent with our key customer growth strategies.
  • Assisting internal teams with technical questions and problem solving on projects.
  • Preparing monthly sales analysis on sales volume by customer, areas of proposed new business opportunities, and prospect pipeline.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications, construction management, or related field preferred.
    • Equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of Sales experience
    • Experience with national account sales preferred
  • Construction, distribution, or manufacturing experience in Division 8 with a background in consulting, outside sales, and/or public speaking is a plus.
  • DHI Certification and/or training is a plus.
  • Previous experience developing networks and contacts nationally.
  • Thrives with rapid growth (20%+ annually).
  • Proven ability working in a high pace, quick turnaround environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Mechanically minded with strong attention to detail.

This position does require frequent travel and in-person interactions through visiting customer sites and participating in trade shows.
